An adventure to the lost city, the sister city of Machupicchu, with less influx due to the privileged access only for those who can overcome the mental and physical challenge of 4 days of walking.

Day 1: Cusco – Cachora – Rosalina Beach – Santa Rosa.

We leave Cusco very early towards Cachora (Breakfast) and continue to Punta Carretera where we meet the rest of the Peru Leisure Travel team, the muleteers, cooks and horses. From this point we start our walk through a beautiful Andean landscape and we will have a beautiful view of the snowy Padreyoc, Wayna Cachora, the Apurimac valley, up to Santa Rosa where we will set up our first camp.

Distance traveled: 11 KM Approximate walking time: 7 hours

Day 2: Santa Rosa – Marampata – Choquequirao

Always with a beautiful view of the Apurimac canyon, we will cross small hunts such as Santa Rosa Alta and Huchuerta, to Marampata, where we have lunch and prepare to visit the Inca citadel of Choquequirao in the afternoon. Here we will have a guided tour of the most important enclosures, such as the main esplanade, the Usno, the Workshops and the Sector of the platforms that are embedded in stone in the shape of Llamas. After that, we return to Marampata for dinner and spend the night in camp.

Distance traveled: 10 KM Approximate walking time: 6 hours

Day 3: Marampata – Rosalina Beach – Chiquisqa

This day we will be able to rest a little more and after a good breakfast we will start our way back and we will say goodbye to this beautiful point with spectacular views. We descend to Playa Rosalina for lunch and continue to Chiquisca where we will have our last camp.

Distance traveled: 9 KM Approximate walking time: 5 hours

Day 4: Chiquisqa – Capuliyoc – Cachora – Cusco

After a comforting breakfast we will start the walk back to the Capuliyoc pass where we will have for the last time a view of the Apurimac canyon, and we continue for 2 hours to San Pedro de Cachora where we will say goodbye to our muleteers who accompanied us on this wonderful adventure.
