Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival to PEM – Trails/Monkey Island – River at night
The adventure begins when you arrive in Puerto Maldonado and is transferred to the office, here you will be welcomed and will provide you with the necessary information for your stay. After a few hours, you can embark on an outboard boat along the Madre de Dios River to Ecolucerna Lodge (approximately 1 % hrs down the river). On your arrival you will enjoy a tasty lunch buffet based on organic ingredients and native flavors. After lunch you will hike through the Lucerna trails, located inside the property, you will discover and learn about the primary and secondary forest, its components, uses, manmade transformations, and their relevance to the world. Later at night you will have an interesting night river tour, here you will navigate the Madre de Dios River, to know its ecosystem, Amazonian ravines, the behavior of nocturnal fauna. Then you will enjoy a dinner in the Isula dining room.

Day 02: Tambopata National Reserve – Sandoval Lake – PEM
Today will have a day of many emotions, after a nutritious breakfast buffet, will be ready for a long walk along the Tambopata National Reserve, which will lead you to Sandoval Lake. Here you will understand why Madre de Dios is known as the biodiversity capital of Peru. You will know the works of conservation of the Reserve and the formation of the lake, sailing in a canoe through this water mirror, home of the giant otter in danger of extinction, the blue and yellow macaw, the howler monkey, the black caiman, And one of the world’s largest fish freshwater scales the Paiche.
In the afternoon, we will return to the office house in Puerto Maldonado, where you can take a shower and enjoy part of the night in the city before heading to the bus station.
